My bottom line question is: Will front coil springs for a 67 GTO A-body fit
my 68 Firebird F-body?

I have a 68 Firebird convertible, and with my big block engine etc., I am
putting 2260 pounds on the front axle. The standard Firebird front coils
can't
take the weight and will bottom out. As a matter of fact, I can't find any
67-69 Firebird front coil springs that are rated high enough.

So I found some comparable springs for a 67 GTO; rated for 2285 pounds at
331 pounds per inch, 17.78" tall free height, ID of 3.65", with .650 wire. So
installed, they should be around 10" or 11" high. Is there any reason these
will not work?

I also want a standard height - I'm not looking for a 1" or 2" drop, and on
the other hand I don't want the front end riding high. Thanks for the help!

Timothy
