First Generation Firebird-L Mailing List

Well, I mentioned it to the guy and he got all butt hurt and said I didn't know what I was talking about and called me all kinds of names. I also told him that it that it had the wrong hoses and that for $26k I would expect perfection. I sent him a link to a PY forum that had a couple of pictures and told him that 66-72 used the silver blue paint engine color (documented by Hirsch paints and others)and he said he was the second owner and that the first owner treated the car like his son and that it has never been painted and on and on. I was mainly curious since he posted it to the Reno CL and usually when someone posts to a remote location, it turns out to be a scam.

Oh well, best of luck to him.

Don't 68's have the engine painted the silver-blue color as well and
not the GM blue that this one is?

Looks pretty tasty. But you're right. Looks like wrong engine color.
