Does anyone know off the top of their head how many "bolts" the regular rear end is? I keep seeing references to 10 bolt and 12 bolt. Mine looks pretty small (way smaller then the 9" on my 64 T-bird) so I'm thinking its the 10 bolt. Also, whats the rear brake cylinder size for a 69 400 with front disks? All first gen firebirds had 10 bolt rears. They are BOP 10 bolt, not cnevy 10 bolt. There is a difference. The BOP 10 bolts are plenty strong. Same rear as in 60's GTO's.
