Actually, I stay subscribed, but family life, combined with nearly full-time travel the last couple years has made participation almost impossible. I pick a few emails to read. Obviously this one caught my eye as Geoff rarely writes, I figured it was important to the present discussion.
My step-son who will be 19 soon, was given the 92 Sunbird convertible I used to drive, and we did a father-son refurb together - new convertible roof (what a job!), carpet, mechanicals such as brakes, front suspension and in-tank fuel pump, has seat work done while out for the carpets, and the car looks great now. He had no real interest in cars until I brought out my old Aurora HO slot cars, and he and his younger brother got so good at racing them that they kicked the old man's butt in just a few days of practive. Something to be said about their hand-eye coordination with modern game controllers. He's leaning on me to get on my cars now, and expects the 69 LeMans convertible to be his when I kick the bucket.
