First Generation Firebird-L Mailing List
.........................................................................
As little as I`ve posted on the list lately...just a bit more in the forum...
I do keep up every day...

Best of luck to you guys in Florida and Fays path...hopefully she wont do
anymore damage that Edouard did here...we barely got rain...a few wind gusts...
A gust broke an oaklimb at my house , it was about 10" dia., and fell right on
the power line, which held up, but pulled the weather head and the fascia board
off the house, and the cable and phone lines,,, luckily , no power lost...and
thanks to FGF! I had it fixed soon....this is why this group is so great...a
fellow HALFer Todd Williams ,whos a commercial electrician ,but lives an hour
out of town ,came in after 8 pm and fixed it for me....at a great price too!
one Shiner beer!
I called him for advice at 7 pm, whether to call the power co, or try myself or
get an electrician...he ,just back from work and out of the shower , says" Dont
do anything , Il`l be right over..." at 8.30 +_ he was there...10.30 all was
fixed...

Great group of people on this list and site!

Since the storm is forming and you may need a place t put yur car...if you need
,take Daniel Rays advice...he`s a great guy...never met in person, but ....

Again Geoff ,thanks for everything, this list ,the forum yu put together!

All,

A reminder as it is that time of year again in Florida and we are
watching a weather system closely which is targeting Florida.

This is a reminder that if we lose power here in Tampa, the list will
be down. I ask some help if this occurs. You can send messages as
normal but they will not be delivered until the power is restored in
my area. Therefor, I ask everyone to not send message just "testing"
or seeing if the mail server is up.

If I can, I will put updates in the forums section on the FGF
website. The website is not hosted locally but instead in a
California location.
