First Generation Firebird-L Mailing List

Ditto on using an original door. I was lucky enough to find a good donor
Firebird (1968) in a local salvage yard and got a useable door off it. If you
don't have any luck that way, there's a place in Missouri called Fabulous
Firebirds that has a lot of 67-89 cars and parts. You might try there.

Joe,

If you have an original door, by all means use the other original door.
My luck with repo parts has been completely SUB PAR! I've never had a
good fitting body panel. So I've hunted down good original parts for my
firebird. If you've got the ability to do a re-skin, that would be your
next best bet. I've seen them done and they come out MUCH better than
the repo doors.
