Well, mine is a 69 so it doesn't have the traction bars. I can see
where those would get in the way. I guess they used a 69 to develop the bar.
I won my set in one of the drawings during the 2001 Power Tour so it was cool.

Hugo,
Did you have to modify or remove the traction bar in order to
install the Hotchkis rear sway bar? I purchased the set for my car
and found the traction bar brackets were in the way. After going
back and forth with Hotchkis, sending pictures and measuring the bar
to make sure they shipped the right one, their last word was: "I
guess we didnt have an original car for R&D". Thet were happy to
refund a portion of the kit to return just the rear bar, but now I'm
left trying to figure out what to do back there. I'd like to upgrade
but I'd rather not grind off those brackets, the housing has already
been powder coated. Anyone have any suggestions? Its originally a326
convertible with just the right side bar, now sportin a spiffy new
69 RAIII and 3:55 posi. I want to make sure i capitalize on all the
power making it back there.
Thanks,
KJ
