First Generation Firebird-L Mailing List

Yes, this was helpful for seeing a few details I had questions on but not the
final tail pipe section detail I was looking for. I tried all four
possibilities (L, R, L & R flipped 180*) and I think I got it. Unfortunatley,
these do not daylight out of the quarter as I expected. They are way too close
to the rear wheel (see this example: http://www.pypesexhaust.com/gallery82.html
) and need to be trimmed so the tips don't hang down too far. The tips will be
at the wrong angle as well so overall I think I'm going to junk these pieces
and have a shop fabricate the final section to fit properly. It's interesting
to note that in the above example they did some cutting on the final tail
pieces so obviously this guy had fitting problems as well (look at the weld
bead on the 3rd pic just above the hanger, they don't come like this, he cut
and welded them).
