First Generation Firebird-L Mailing List ......................................................................... Will a th400 transmission from a 69 GTO fit in a 67 Firebird?? I'm told it's a short shaft, but I don't know it for a fact. How can I tell a short shaft from a long shaft, without 2 of them side by side.? Is the tail housing for the short shaft only 4" long vs 9" for the long shaft?
I bought a 67 Firebird 400 w/o engine/tranny, so I've been looking for a tranny.
