First Generation Firebird-L Mailing List ......................................................................... I've found a 400 hood with "slight imperfections" (i thought all aftermarket tin had slight imperfections?) for $269 locally. I know everything I've read says that i need a 68 hood latch to put it on my 67. My question is: What exactly do I need to complete the swap? ie: latch, springs, latch bar, nostril parts etc. AND, is there a better set up for security, like something that can only be unlatched from inside the passenger compartment. I'd rather not do the old school chain and padlock, plus its just too easy to defeat. I'm more interested in function and security than correct here, so anyone with experience please chime in. I'm going to look at it this week to see what "imperfections" it has.
Another question: I'm not that interseted in a hood tach either. I had some large holes in the front of my console so I figured the best way of dealing with that would be to go ahead and cut it out for the console guage package from CI. So, now im interested in putting phantom guages in the factory carrier any experience with that? Thanks, KJ 67 vert ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Submissions to Firebird-L: <[email protected]> Unsubscribe from Firebird-L: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Help: <http://FirstGenFirebird.org/firebird/Firebird-L.html> Classifieds: <http://FirstGenFirebird.org/ubb/> Owner Pictures: <http://FirstGenFirebird.org/show/> Donations: <http://FirstGenFirebird.org/store/cart.mv?999999> FGF Merchandise: <http://FirstGenFirebird.org/store>
