On one of my projects, i had my new intake powdercoated with a clear coat and it turned out excellent. Even after 3 years, (summer cruising) it has not colored one bit....has a really nice look as well. Will be doing the same thing with any other project down the road. Can't speak for a how a factory one would turn out, but just putting in my 2 cents.
