No gasket of any kind, it's a metal to metal fit. I use a little chassis
grease on the mating surfaces, it seem to help seal things better.

Is there supposed to be any kind of o-ring/gasket between the exhaust
manifold and the downpipe "flare" that mates to it? Other cars I've worked
on had an o-ring seal but I'm not seeing how one would fit on my 69 400
system.
