The 69's have the neutral safety switch (and backup light) on the column even if they have a floor shifter. They use a set of rods to move the collar on the column as if it had a column shifter. The 67's and 68's had them in the console (AFAIK) so they would be totally different.

Looking at the various vendors catalogs listings for N/S switches I don't see any that match the one in my 69 with console and AT. The picture of one for a 68 looks like mine but I have a 69 and the column has the key in it so it can't be a 68 column. Everything on the car appears original to the car. The terminals on the 68 switch and the 69 switch seem so much different I don't see how the wiring connector could fit both. Has anyone else ever come across this issue before?
