Look at the engine unit number, then compare it to yours...there is a certain spacing and special font to the characters. GM gang stampers are hard to come by and getting the spacing correct is tricky...usually only the corvette crowd has this equipment.
It would be easy to pick up a YT block and grind off the unit number end do a cheesy re-stamp like these guys do. As far as the vin goes...that is a common stamp font used throughout GM and is easy to reproduce... Trust me on this one...
