Unless the xenons come with Ballasts to up the ...(voltage?) to create an arc across the xenon gas - stay away. For much better lighting go with a set of Cibie CSR lamps with Osram H1+50 bulbs, and power them right off the alternator using relays triggered by the headlight switch itself. For a lower cost, most correct looking alternative, use the same setup but instead of Cibie CSR lamps, use a set of Hella E-code headlights for older BMW's Either way the drop right in and are easy to wire, and they beam pattern is great on the Hella lamps and *awesome* with the CSR's.
