Hey Guys and Gals, I took apart my hood latch assembly and cleaned it up real good but I am unsure if the latch mechanism was painted or not. I stripped it with chemicals and it appears to be a gray color with specs in the paint. Is this the color it is supposed to be or should it be black? Any help or suggestions appreciated.
