First Generation Firebird-L Mailing List ......................................................................... I bought a 78 Trans Am with a 403 Olds that was swapped out but not completely reinstalled. The transmission was attached to the motor that was swapped. The frame crossmember that supports the transmission at the rear was unbolted and set in place but it is in a different location that original and wont bolt in. It is off by about 4 inches. The driveline seems too long now as well. I am wondering in the motor was mounted in wrong but It looks right. If someone can tell me why they think this is and if I should just weld the crossmeber where is now is wanting to go. Any assistance would be appriciated.
