First Generation Firebird-L Mailing List ......................................................................... Hi thanks for that... Next question!
I have a 2nd gen shaft at 48.75" long. Rather than re-tubing the drive shaft to just under 50" can I get a long tail shaft yoke from a full size TH400 and have it shortened, so I increase the effective length of the drive shaft by increasing the yoke length? It is easier in the UK to get a longer yoke than a longer drive shaft!! Hi There, New to posting here. Can anyone help confirm the length of a prop shaft in a '68 400 firebird manual. Car was orig. a muncie m21 (sold by previous owner) and I have dropped in an ST-10. I have it in my head that the drivershaft needs to be 50" centre of UJ's. Is this correct?
