The Camaros had a 26 coil spring for the non-SS hoods, and a 28 coil for the heavier ones. The hook angles were different, too. I have a diagram with the part numbers and dimensions if needed. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of hugot Sent: Thursday, April 30, 2009 5:33 PM To: First Generation Firebird-L Subject: RE: [FGF] Volvo? + a first-gen request First Generation Firebird-L Mailing List ........................................................................ . LOL. Polvo means powder or dust in Spanish. On a first-gen related note, does anyone have a pair of weak hood springs that you may have swapped out? I'm getting ready to install a TA hood on my vert (fiberglass over a metal frame) and I'd like to keep the springs on the hinges but this hood is lighter and I don"t want to tweak it or crack it since it is lighter than the standar hood. Do the camaro (I know, bad word) springs have less tension?
