I think Camaro springs have two kinds, the one for the SS hood and a
regular...I bought repops for my Bird , advertised as SS hood spirings
,but they too got weak really quick ,about 6 mo they were like the old
worn out...I think I tossed my old origs..

but on the other hand since we now have a Firebird/Volvo forum ..lol..
for you who have problems with worn hood springs...the repops wont last
long , but you can install inner extra springs...get them from 80`s
model Volvo 240`s ..they have inner and outer springs ./.to compensate
for when Volvo changed hood design...these are from the hood with
creases on it...and you can fish these in to your existing GM springs
without removing them...I did 4 yrs ago, and they wotrk fine ...its now
a Viagra hood!

LOL. Polvo means powder or dust in Spanish.

On a first-gen related note, does anyone have a pair of weak hood
springs that you may have swapped out?
I'm getting ready to install a TA hood on my vert (fiberglass over a
metal frame) and I'd like to keep the springs on the hinges but this
hood is lighter and I don"t want to tweak it or crack it since it is
lighter than the standar hood.
Do the camaro (I know, bad word) springs have less tension?
