Help!  What are the symptoms of a bad combo proportioning valve/brake pressure 
differential switch?.......

How does the pedal feel now? And, did you pull the wheels/drums to check the 
brake cylinders for leakage? From what you've described it sounds like a seal 
failed in one of the brake cylinders. Also, check for a deformed/leaking brake 
hose(s). 
There's not a lot that could go wrong in a prop valve. I hope you flushed the 
system when you R&R'd the master cylinder.. To re-set the prop valve, slightly 
loosen the side that had the leak etc. and stomp the brake pedal - that should 
re-center the piston and the light should go out. Additional bleeding may be 
necessary.
