First Generation Firebird-L Mailing List .........................................................................
Bobby if your not in a rush haul the car to GA and Have Daniel Ray do it, it is about 12 hour drive for you, but the end result will be well beyond your expectations. I did mine while I was in Kansas last month but I gained a lot of insight and how to knowledge from Daniel Ray, The guy is an absolute wizard. I highly recommend taking it to him. I will send you a finished pick of my 68, Just Smile... It makes people wonder what you have been up too... http://www.dingdongtx.org/wapa/fb.htm http://firstgenfirebird.org/show/closeup.mv?CarID=53 Thanks, Kevin "In God We Trust" ----- Original Message ---- From: Bobby Speake <[email protected]> To: First Generation Firebird-L <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, May 10, 2009 1:05:19 PM Subject: RE: [FGF] Dallas-Fort Worth body/paint shop recommendations? First Generation Firebird-L Mailing List ......................................................................... Bobby, My body is at D&R Paint and Body, off of 35W near the speedway. The guy's name is Don. He's kind of a one man show in a shop next to his house. He's great with the old cars and does everything from major sheetmetal repair and resto to straightening out the dings and shooting it. Everyone I talked to around ft worth recommended him with the warning that I shouldn't expect it in any particular hurry. If you're patient, he's the guy. I can forward you his contact info if you are interested. Bjorn 69 vert. Subject: Dallas-Fort Worth body/paint shop recommendations? From: "Bobby Speake" <[email protected]> Date: Sat, 9 May 2009 17:21:18 -0500 Does anybody have a recommendation for a body/paint shop in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for my '68 Firebird? The body is fairly straight, but there are some areas where filler will be needed. I am not looking for super high-end quality, but I would like to be competitive in shows. I have a figure in mind that I am willing to spend for the right quality of work.
