After a decade of talking about it I'm finally going to convert my
front drums to disc brakes. I've taken enough mountain drives where
the drums fade exactly when I didn't want them to.

I've heard generally good things about the Classic Performance
(http://www.classicperform.com) and they seem to be relatively
inexpensive for a disc brake kit. Does anyone have any experience
with their disc brake kits? They also have a disk kit that they call
the "simple offset solution". Basically it keeps the stock spindle,
but uses a proprietary rotor that suck in the front wheels in to
provide a bit more fender/tire clearance. This would be ideal for me
because I have 235/60 tires on 15/8 rims in the front and get a bit of
rubbing when I go over bumps. I know a lot of disc brake kits will
push the wheels out 1/8" or so which would make my rubbing problem
worse. Now the advertised downside to their "simple offset solution"
is that you'll always need to buy rotors from them and you'd never be
able to go to your local auto parts store to pick up new rotors. I
think I'd be willing to put up with this downside if I knew the
"simple offset" kit was solid otherwise, but I was wondering if anyone
had any thoughts or experience with these kits.

Would I be better off getting a standard disc brake kit and dealing
with the fender rub another way?
