I have the lower windshield molding loosly sitting in place but none of the 
clips fully screwed down. I just put my wiper linkage in and noticed it's going 
to be a little tricking getting the cowl in place. It appears the cowl slips 
under the molding and the clips actually hold onto it. I haven't adjusted the 
molding so it seems like there may be some trial and error fittings to get it 
dialed in. 

 

Any advice on how to do this without scratching up the cowl from putting it on 
and taking it off a number of times?

 

You are suppose to have the molding on and clips screwed down before putting 
the cowl on, right? Order of assembly?
