The first thing I would check would be the ground connection (may need to check several locations as Brent states below). Don't assume that the ground is good because other bulbs are working, each bulb has its own ground.

Howdy Cal or James?

Here's how I would approach the problem.

#1) If not done so already, Print a copy of the wiring diagram see:
http://www.dingdongtx.org/1968/index.htm

#2) I would start by removing all bulbs. Clean the sockets, contacts and
wire connectors. Check all the ground connections to frame, confirm and
clean. Look for any pinched broken or damaged wires. Spray the sockets
with my favorite Red-Green tool,(WD-40)and blow out with compressed air
if available.
Note: It's a good practice to pull the ground from your battery before
cleaning sockets or doing any electrical work on a vehicle....replace to
start testing)

3) Start at the socket that is not working and look for power with a
12VDC wire probe style circuit tester.( I have a nice Snap-On CT4C that
I use) Check at the socket and then follow along the power lead until
you can determine the source of the open circuit.

4) My first guess if grounds are good as you mentioned would be
corrosion, a pinched, broken or pulled off wire causing the open
circuit. I have found more wiring issues with lost continuity due to
corrosion and open/poor grounds then I can mention.

Good luck and if all else fails,...drink some beer and send us an e-mail
with some more details of the testing to date (-:
