All you guys have to do is say the word and I will start looking into lining things out for us for places to gather, hotel with room enough for show and shine...and so on I am in agreement with an early to late fall gathering say, last week in Aug or first week in Sept. The Elk are starting to bugle in the Rocky Mountain National park and the leaves are starting to change. It's an experience everyone have firsthand, there is now way to explain the ear piercing, hair raising sound of the elks bugle from 30 yards away. >From Loveland there is a perfect loop drive that would take us through Estes Park, through RMNP, up and over the continental divide, around towards steamboat, down the Poudre canyon river, into Fort Collins and back to Loveland. It's about a 300 mile trip that can take a half a day or a full day...pending on the amount of beer breaks we take along the way. (Not condoning drinking and driving but man....sometimes having a beer alongside of a rocky mountain river just cant be beat...I guess the only way it could be beat is if that cold beer was shared with a bunch of firebird junkies like you all!
