First Generation Firebird-L Mailing List ......................................................................... Hokey Smokes Bullwinkle.... $1000? Geez I have an old deluxe wheel hanging up in my garage as artwork from my first bird. It's cracked, but not so bad that it couldn't be fixed with a little epoxy. I wonder what its worth in trading material? It's red and even has the horn button. Hasn't been on a car in 30 years. Shhhhhh. Don't tell anyone I'm that old. First Generation Firebird-L Mailing List ......................................................................... Hey Dan, Sob, Sob, Your story moved me...lol J.K. OK, I do have one so at $1K per repair I guess I'll just have to learn how to repair it. I'll keep my eyes out for an extra one and keep you in mind. Brent Block 68 350 Coupe StAlbert, Alberta, Canada http://firstgenfirebird.org/show/closeup.mv?CarID=378 -----Original Message----- Brent (and Timothy), My steering wheel is so bad that I donated it to a list member (don't remember his name right now and haven't seen him on the list for a long time) who was working on getting a new wheel molded. To say mine was cracked is to be very generous! So now I have none. But don't let that sway you, Brent from getting the wheel yourself! (Or maybe yes, let it sway you!!) I need black as well. Just waiting to get a price from Bo. Mines black so I would have to do a color change. Brent Block 68 350 Coupe StAlbert, Alberta,Canada http://firstgenfirebird.org/show/closeup.mv?CarID=378 For all those interested in deluxe steering wheels, just FYI? -? I had my deluxe wheel restored by Gary's Steering Wheel Resoration in PA, http://www.garyssteeringwheel.com/?and was very, very pleased with the results.? It was not cheap by any means, but I had several cracks in the rim as well as on the hub to the point where?the entire wheel?needed to be remolded.? If I remember correctly, I spent around $1000 but the quality is excellent and it has a lifetime warranty.? Keep in mind, I had my entire wheel re-molded; just filling in cracks or having a less damaged wheel will be cheaper.
