For cooling lines, I cut the old lines close to the tranny and then I used in-line brass compression joints that can be found at a hardware store. I could have gone with braided lines since I use an external cooler since my aluminum radiator does not have tranny cooling capabilities. I used an kickdown plate from a mid 85 ish van, but it is a real hassle, so I ordered the LOKAR Throttle and kickdown and there plate, it is sweet and looks great, Kinda Pricey, but with it in my opinion anyway. http://www.lokar.com/interior_pages/tc_kd.htm and if you know someone who has a 400 tranny they have the kickdown for it even... thern go to summit and order the stuff, this what I got....
