Did you use a new "curved" clutch fork?  The 67-69 uses a flat fork. 
The fix is to buy the adjustable pivot ball or use the wider flat finder
pressure plate throw out bearing.

I'm going to need to pull the Doug Nash 5 speed and tear it down, think
I
may have taken out 1st gear :-(

Along with that I am having a horrible time with the clutch
engagement...
(this may have been part of the demise of 1st gear)

I thought that I had the clutch linkage adjusted properly... but it
seems as
though it is not at all. I'm having a problem with getting the clutch
to
disengage. I have played with all of the adjustments I can in a stock
linkage and it seems as though I do not ever get the clutch to fully
disengage.

Anyone ever run into this?

Ideas?
