First Generation Firebird-L Mailing List ......................................................................... The "batwing" (never called it that myself)is the fancy washer that the water bypass / crossover bolt goes through. You know,... from the top of the timing cover to the front of the intake. The 3 inch or so long bolt that pulls the two together. If you need pics / description of the proper stud location, let me know.

First Generation Firebird-L Mailing List ......................................................................... Thanks for clarifying Joe. I would have expected the same studs with nuts all around the pump. Now I know better. You learn something new every day. But I yet have to learn what a batwing washer is. Some sort of spring washer? Is it possible to get a picture Bo? Thanks. /Niklas ........................................................................ . Two of the fasteners will be small studs with fine thread castle nuts, the rest will be coarse with deep star type grooves cut in from point to point on the head. Ames should sell a correct kit. I am glad that you are going the correct route. Makes me proud. FN259PT is the ames kit number. I don't think it has the studs but the bolts are right. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Submissions to Firebird-L: <[email protected]> Unsubscribe from Firebird-L: <[email protected]> Help: <http://FirstGenFirebird.org/firebird/Firebird-L.html> Classifieds: <http://FirstGenFirebird.org/ubb/> Owner Pictures: <http://FirstGenFirebird.org/show/> ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Submissions to Firebird-L: <[email protected]> Unsubscribe from Firebird-L: <[email protected]> Help: <http://FirstGenFirebird.org/firebird/Firebird-L.html> Classifieds: <http://FirstGenFirebird.org/ubb/> Owner Pictures: <http://FirstGenFirebird.org/show/>
