Not a lawyer, but could you imagine the bad PR if word got out that the
soon-to-be-defunct Pontiac Motor Company was hassling a bunch of Firebird
enthusiasts who were just trying to promote their Firebird car show? They
(Pontiac) should be our biggest sponsor!!

Unless we get some REAL legal advice to the contrary, I vote we go for it
based on the premise that A) it's easier to get forgiveness than permission,
and B) they're shutting down the brand anyway, so why would they care if we
use it?

My two cents. Scott

Hi Guys,
Regarding the Cannonbird Run in August, we are coming up with logos and
Tshirt designs, and have a question for the group - is anyone a lawyer who
could let us know the appropriatness of using the 40 year old official
Pontiac Firebird emblems and materials in a Tshirt?

Thanks,

Mark Lueker
