It means that the file firebird.msg is 1) missing, is 2) in the wrong
place, or 3) is the wrong one for the server version. If 1) or 2) then the
message versions compiled in the client DLL (fbclient.dll) are used and the
"No message..." message means you are using the wrong version of the client
DLL.

You *are* getting the error message: it's the default message that is sent
when the server generates a message that cannot be interpreted due to the
problems described above. The text for this error code should be "Dynamic
SQL Error", which means that you have a syntax error in your statement.
