[Firebird-net-provider] Update record with Blob

I have been trying to write an update statement to save an image to a Blob field.  The field is defined and I can get the image into a byto array ( which seems like what I need to do ) but can't seem to get the update to work.  I am using the Firebird.net provider.  I can write update routines for other filds (int,strings, etc) but can't get the update to work with the Blobl.  Any ideas or help would be appreciated.
