Oh. I was not aware of this functionality in Firebird. I looked up
the "two-phase" transaction in Helen's Firebird book and I must say
that I don't feel more clever now ;-)
The two-phase transaction seems indeed to be available internally in
the Firebird engine in order to coordinate transactions spanning more
than one database. But how would we benefit from it in the *client* ?
I've no idea either.
