Can anyone tell me what is the maximum number of concurrent connections that can be made if using win XP Pro as a remote PC server ?

I have a project that consist of the following:

FireBird is installed on a remote server (PC is using Win XP Pro).
I have 28 users in different areas who will be accessing FireBird to transmit their data into a table every evening.

Can they all connect to FireBird all at one go or will Win Xp Pro limit the connection to only 5 persons at any one time.

If I use Win server 2003, what is the ideal number of CAL license I should purchase for this type of situation. Any with this experience can tell me ?

Thank you.
