You can use firebird 2.0 with mono via provider 1.7.
Personally, I've never used visual components for firebird, so I can't
say much about that. But I'm using firebird (both 1.5.3 and 2.0rc4) from
mono (both with 1.1 and 2.0 profiles) with provider 1.7.
Thanks,
I have tested that when I user fb Provider 1.7 I don´t get any problem If I compile directly using mcs, but from sharpDevelop 2 althougn I dont get any problem compiling, when I try to launch the exe generated file I get this error:
Se generó la excepción System.IO.FileLoadException en el programa:
Strong name validation failed for assembly 'FirebirdSql.Data.Firebird'.
Main()
what that this means? I havent seen before.
Emi
