1. I'm using FB 1.5 with firebird .net data provider 1.7.01 2. My windows app is using ASTA/IBObjects accessing the db via tcp/ip 3. The web app locks up, windows version has no problems
I have a windows exe accessing the same DB, and periodically the ADO.NET call will lock up, and I eventually get a "Deadlock", even though the app is just doing a "SELECT". Stopping/starting via IIS does not resolve it, only stopping/starting the ASTA service does. The ASTA group said to be sure that the ADO.NET provider is not locking the DB FILE. They also suggested the following: with ibobjects/interbase/firebird make sure you are using tcp to connect to the database ipadress:drive/yourdatabase.gdb NOT c:\somepath\yourdatabase.gdb BUT I STILL GET LOCKUPS. Do you have Any suggestions? ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys. Earn Cash.
