I digged into it yesterday with the debugger and it seems the 
.NETProvider works fine. I did another test with IBObjects with TQuery 
in Delphi and had the same problem there, so this seems to be a bug in 
Firebird itself. I've already posted this to fb-support.

@Dean: Doesn't solve the problem, but thanks for the hint - wasn't aware 
that there is an AddWithValue
