Hi
Scenario is this.VS2005 C# and FB2.0.
I have created an utility for backoffice management .This utility is for
administrators (application administrators) and intend to access some
operations unavailable from back office interface.Some operations are
directly on database (FB 2.0 SS) others are provided auxiliary as
scripts.This is necessary because back office is delivered by others.this
means I'm not owner of db. If provider make upsize/update to database could
delete all my procedures or triggers.In this case I need to store them
separately from database.
I need advice how to store and manipulate them. Solutions are:
1. Store scripts as file (sql or txt);
2. Store scripts in blob file, in separate db (fdb, xml, access mdb,
etc);
3. Directly in code (not ok , I will delivery regular updates and new
scripts)
How to execute scripts for best performance? Using FbScript, FBatchExecution
or executing blocks?
Most of sql statement will have 1 or 2 params.
TIA,
Paul
PS. sorry for my English!
