Hi,
I've only been developing for about 6 months, so please be patient with
me.
I've got an image that I want to store in a blob field, and I can't seem
to get it done properly.
Here's what I'm working with:
IDE: CodeGear RAD Studio for .NET
Language: DELPHI 8.0
DB: Firebird 2.0
Field Type Saving to: BLOB SUB_TYPE 0 SEGMENT SIZE 80
Provider: Firebird Version 2.0.1 for .NET 2.0
Image: .gif / location: c:/anvil.gif
I've tried just using SQL with no luck.
I've think what needs to happen I need to convert the .gif to an array
of Binary somehow, then it can be saved to the DB. When I go to retrieve
it and display it back to user, I need to write it back using
BinaryWriter. But I guess one thing at a time, I need to be able to get
images into a database.
Any help offered would be appreciated.
