To those who are getting duplicate messages:

Last week I returned from a holiday in France and found a fairly large backlog
of what I think of as "silly messages", viz., messages from people not
subscribed to the list, or from people sending the same message from two or
more email accounts. As I was tired and jetlagged, I just deleted all the spam
messages, allowed the rest and subscribed the email addresses of those not
subscribed. Paul Mercea is one I remember who was posting messages from
multiple addresses so I probably subscribed him.

It will be up to you now to figure out which account you want to use and
unsubscribe those you don't want to use. It is also possible to have multiple
accounts and set just one to receive email.

FYI, we have very few people (all volunteers) trying to manage a large number
of lists and it is a time-consuming and THANKLESS task. This particular list
has by far the worst "subscriber behaviour" of all lists so it's more of a
headache than most. It's a "given" on any list server that you have to post
using the same email account you're subscribed under. For those who don't
really understand how non-Windows list servers work, you can click the "help"
link in any list mail header and the listserv will send you some directions
about how to manage your account.

Helen
