Hi,
I am finally enjoying web development using FireBird with Membership,
Profiles, Roles and everything FB has to offer.
Many many thanks to the .NET provider developers.
Since it was not that easy to get here I am thinking of writing some
tutorials on how to setup everything to use FB with ASP.NET.
I guess many beginners will have the same difficulties I had.
I have just a little question. Why doesn't the "|DataDirectory|" placeholder
work in the connection string?
It would be simpler to have "Database=|DataDirectory|MyDataBase.fdb" and
have the site anywhere.
Without |DataDirectory| I have to change my web.config file everytime I want
o deploy my site to a different location.
It's not a big deal, but it would be nice to have. Can I do something to
force this?
Regards,
Luis Madaleno
