I would favor a dedicated boolean parameter because it's much more
intuitive and explicit.
>From the users POV, such parameter is explicitly telling you what it
means. There is no guessing involved, which is a good thing.
Unlike "setting user and pass to empty to use trusted auth" which
would require guessing or reading docs.
