That stinks.  This week Mono has not been as good to me as in the past. 
  I've been bitten twice now on things I didn't expect to be a problem - 
maybe my stuff is just getting complex enough to expose some chinks.  At 
any rate, this workaround keeps me from having to recompile when I 
encounter different Mono's then.
