Rick,

Thank you for your response and clear instructions. I am still having
trouble installing the Firebird Client in the GAC. I have tried the
following:

   - Installer (.msi) file that comes with the client. This installs it in
the Program Files (x86)\FirebirdClient folder, but does not install it in
   the GAC.
   - gacutil /i c:\program files
   (x86)\firebirdclient\firebirdsql.data.firebirdclient.dll. This one gives me
   the error: "Unknown options: File"
   - Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Configuration tool. This one gives me the
error: "Unable to add the selected assembly. The assembly must have a
strong name (name, version and public key)."
   - Drag an drop the firebirdsql.data.firebirdclient.dll into the assembly
   folder. This was also unsuccessful.

All of these I tried using Run as Administrator.

I'm not sure what to try next. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Kevin
