I agree that Jiri's answer is a bit short and as a result not very helpful. However what he tries to convey is not that the problem is that you have .NET 4.5 installed, but instead the problem is that you are trying to use the .NET 4.5 version of the Firebird .NET provider under .NET 4.0. So make sure you install the .NET 4.0 version of the .NET provider, specifically: http://sourceforge.net/projects/firebird/files/firebird-net-provider/3.0.2/NETProvider-3.0.2.0-NET40.7z/download (the MSI installer is as far as I understand only .NET 4.5)!
