I just upgraded to Firebird 2.5.1, .NET provider 3.0.2.0, and DDEX 3.0.0.0. for
Windows (7 64-bit).

On the previous versions of the tools, I had created an entity data source with
no problem.

Now when I try to upgrade that data source, The wizard gives the error

"... An exception of type 'System.Data.ProviderIncompatibleException' occurred.
The error message is"
'The store data provider failed to return information for the
StoreSchemaDefinition request.' ... The inner exception
caught was of type 'System.MissingFieldException', with this error message"
'Field not found:
'System.Data.Common.DbProviderManifest.StoreSchemaDefinitionVersion3'.'."

If I try to create a new entity data source in this, or a new solution, I get
the error
"An exception of type 'System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException' occurred
while attempting to launch Entity Data Model Wizard. The exception message is
'Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component.'"

Since I can manipulate and create a database. The libraries and .NET provider
look OK.
The problem seems to be with the DDEX provider. I have gone through the README.
Everything looks like it installed OK, the assemblies are in the GAC, the
machine.config
looks correct. The only thing is the *.reg files, which aren't in the DDEX 3.0
installation package.
I assume that the .msi installation file takes care of that.

My question is, what are they proper registry entries? Or is there something
else I am missing?
I have been scouring the web for solutions the past two days to no avail.

Brian
