DDEX provider is lost after updating an extension in VS2012

When I install an update to extension in VS2012 the DDEX provider is lost:

Using ProcessMonitor I see that the VS writes NEW keys (REG_CREATED_NEW_KEY)
under
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\VisualStudio\11.0_Config\DataProviders
for OleDb, SQLServer, Oracle, SQLCe, but I can't see Firebird. Why does this
happen? I have to run the setup again and repair the DDEX provider everything
this happens again.
