But that is not a good solution for me - my app supports other databases (for 
example ms sql) - with modified sql queries if needed - because I use the 
standard odbc connection.
Also the ibx delphi components are limited to just one statement - cannot 
easily support a script of statements - which is a problem in my case.

  The simplest way for Delphi is to use direct access components and get rid of 
ODBC at all.
