In your first example: perhaps you need to do a commit after your delete statement and before calling the stored procedure, e.g. something like (air code, not tested): delete from a_job where d_ini='2012-03-05'; commit; select result from DUPLICATEJOB ( 'a1f61856-1c13-11e1-addd-00219bfd1931', 'a7df0588-4388-11e1-addd-00219bfd1931', '2012-03-05', null); Regards, Reinier
